This is a family that our church supports. They have six children and The mother just had a miscarriage and is now literally at death's door. Here is the prayer letter they sent out. Please pray for them
God is Good!
We are constantly thrilled by His loving guidance through every trial.
Prayer Changes Things!
I just didn’t know what to write.
Now I must ... Darla needs your prayers!
The last four months now we have seen God move and work in and through us and the people we minister to and with. We have seen people saved, baptized, even watched new converts begin to evangelize. One particular story was really neat as one by one the members of a particular family began to call upon the Lord until finally, the day I baptized three of his teenage children, the father sat down with me and let me lead him to Christ through the scriptures. These were great stories to write about yet all the while my heart was getting heavier and heavier as I watched my precious help meet get sicker and sicker.
We had prayed (she through tears), that with this pregnancy, she would at least not experience any worse Hyperemesis Gravidarum than she did with Marshall Ray. In truth that prayer was answered but indeed it was still a great battle as she fought hard to survive the first trimester. We were thrilled as her battle weary, nutrient poor, barley hydrated body entered the second trimester and began to respond to the rapidly depleting supply of Ondansetron that had helped her survive Marshall. Sadly our rejoicing was cut short as an esophageal tear and a cold virus set her reeling back into what had become too familiar a routine of me rinsing countless bowls after her body tried again and again to rid itself of the offending stomach.
Oct. 12th: After about a week and a half her throat had begun to heal and her virus to clear up.
October 14th (3 days from Annette’s 14th B-day), she awoke and vomited but afterward pronounced that she thought she felt better and that it was going to be a good day. I rinsed her bowl, refilled her cup and began to plan a “good day.” 4 hrs later, as I ministered to her I noticed small signs of bleeding. Within 30 minuets it had become a flood with large clots. Less than two hours later she had suffered a miscarriage, a DNC, and now it appears a possible blood clot to the brain. She is loosing ground quickly and often does not know her children or herself. There is no help for her here. The only real hope she has is treatment available in Australia. Australia never seemed so far away, the price so high. Oh! The evil that man’s sin has wrought in this Creation that groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. Yet, I will trust in Him. (Romans 8:22; Job 13:15)
"My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him." Psalms 62:5 Whatever is done or is not, To God be the Glory.
Love in Sorrow and Tears,
Rick and children
