Hello all,
I stumbled across this forum this morning and decided to join. I find that many other so-called 'christian' discussion boards are full of people who are trying to bend the word of God to fit them rather than honestly taking the Bible at face value and applying it to there lives. From what I have seen here, it isn't that way.
I am not a Baptist, but many of the things we observe at the non-denominational church I attend would be very similar to that of the conservative Baptists. We also try to stick with the King James Version Bible.
Thanks for having me, Wayne

Thanks for the welcome!
I really appreciate what I am reading around here in regards to the christians separation from the world.
How many Baptist churches actually practice separation to the extent that is discussed around here? What I see here resembles many Mennonite and Charity churches in this area.

Brother Ben will have to answer that one, but I wish their were Mennonite or Charity around me.... I am none of the above, though visited Mennonite a few years back for about a year.
Now I am the only one covered and modest in our church that we attend and our community, for at least 70 miles.
We hope to find fellowship soon, before I have to explain to my 1 and a half year old why his Mommy is the only one covered and wearing dresses.....

Hello, Wayne, Yes, we are not the ordinary "baptist" forum. Most of us here "cut our teeth" as it were, in Baptist churches, but have come to realize that the apostasy has set in, including where we knew and loved, and that "believers in Christ," are coming apart for mutual fellowship and edification. I'm not saying all Baptists are apostate, just that they are not exempt from it.
Our hearts yearn for a place where we can take our families where modern trends, programs, and carnal corruption is not taking it's toll. Please don't mistake (anyone reading this post, and others like it,) that I think for one second, just because a family dresses modest, or a sister covers her head, true Christ-like spirituality is present. External is never the acid test, but only a manifestation of what (should) be inside. If I plant apple seeds, shouldn't I expect an apple tree that bears apples? Then if God is holy, should not his people be also?
Anyways, welcome on, may the Lord lead us all to humility, love, and Christ-likeness in our lives.
Bro. Ben
