After a two-year court ordeal, a Missouri pro-life sidewalk counselor has finally received an answer to charges leveled by a Planned Parenthood clinic staff.
Kathy Thebo Forck conducts pro-life counseling and prayer vigils outside the Planned Parenthood in Columbia, Missouri, and is director of the local "40 Days for Life" campaign. Attorney Tom Brejcha of the Thomas More Society explains what happened in July 2012.
Brejcha, Tom (TMS)"Two ladies, the manager and one of her helpers, claimed that Kathy had trespassed one day, [had] actually stepped onto their property on the driveway," he tells OneNewsNow. "Of course, what she was doing was offering some water to a truck driver. The pace of justice is not very quick down there. This happened two summers ago [on] a very hot July day in Missouri." Police were called and Forck was arrested.
According to Brejcha, the trial court found Forck guilty without a proper look at the evidence, so an appeal was filed. During the trial, the witnesses contradicted themselves – and a video proved Forck was telling the truth.
"The judge listened to all this evidence and said [basically] Listen, you haven't made anywhere near a case for convicting this lady of criminal trespass. I'm throwing the charges out," the attorney paraphrases.
Brejcha says the truth is Planned Parenthood was upset because Forck had been highly successful in convincing women to not have abortions. Last February, the abortuary lost its license to perform abortions.
