A legal group has released a report on Planned Parenthood that paints an ugly picture of its billing practices and other alleged misdeeds.
Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Catherine Foster says nearly every audit of 44 done on Planned Parenthood found numerous improper practices. Those figures showed more than $8 million in overbilling, she alleges.
"And then, additionally, we have 51 federal audits of state family planning programs that found over $107 million in overbilling," the ADF attorney alleges.
There are 10 types of waste, abuse and potential fraud Planned Parenthood is accused of committing in the 63-page report entitled, "Profit, No Matter What."
Yet Planned Parenthood is receiving over a half-billion federal tax dollars during the current fiscal year.
ADF released its report to Congress on July 23, repeating a critical report that was released in 2013 and in previous years.
ADF sued the abortion giant in 2012 (see video below) over alleged Medicaid fraud.
With all the alleged improper billing generating millions of dollars, ADF wants Congress to act and is asking the public to contact senators and congressmen and urge them to take action.
Foster and ADF are encouraging people to know about the overbilling and demand that Planned Parenthood "play by the same rules" as other organizations.
"You can't be given a pass just because you're a billion-dollar abortion empire," she says.
