The lottery is gambling, isn't it? One of the worst traits of my countries is that lottery and pokies are everywhere. If you just go to the corner shop, there will be an OzLotto shop in the complex. If you go for a pub meal, you've got to walk past the pokies machines. Sure, there's some gambling on things like horse racing, but really, I've always thought of the lottery as the main way of gambling. This documentary showed recently on national television and really exposes the problem of pokies, which a lot of people don't see as gambling. I'm cynical enough to think that a documentary on national telly and increased hate towards it is going to do nothing.
