I'm making a small quilt with help from a friend from church and her next door neighbor. I'm working on the top layer which I started more than ago. I was having a lot of trouble but with their help I was able to get most of the top done yesterday.
I'm trying to decide if I like quilting or not. I am thinking that the more I do it, the more I will like it. When I first started crocheting I wasn't hugely fond of it. Now I absolutely love it! And speaking of crocheting, I saw a size U crochet hook at Hobby Lobby last week. I think it's a new size because I have never heard of or seen them before. I may buy one and get some yarn and patterns that use that size hook.
My daughter gave me all her knitting needles and knitting loom so I may try my hand at knitting again. She taught me many years ago but I wasn't all that fond of it but the more I see ladies doing it, the more I want to give it another try.
Maybe I'll take some time today and watch a couple of knitting YouTube videos. Well I'm just rambling. I wish more ladies would participate on this board because I would like to know what others are doing craft or sewing wise.

What a blessing to learn new skills, Regina! I like how crochet and knitting are portable. If I have to go to a doctor’s office and end up waiting I can usually find a quieter corner away from the tv to work on my crochet or knitting. Family love their personalized presents too.
I tried quilting a long time ago but it’s such a space hogging hobby I didn’t care for it. If I had had a big sewing room quilting might have had a different impact on me. But I don’t so it won’t.
Don’t get me wrong I love quilts and I go to quilt shows but I can’t get into doing them myself.
However I do want to start doing crocheted lacy shawls though.

Guadalupe my "sewing room" is my dining room table. I admire ladies who have space to keep all their fabric and supplies. I like to take my crochet projects with me too and I enjoy answering question s about what I'm making. Depending upon who I'm talking too, they will say used to crochet or knit years ago or if it's a man he will talk about what his wife is making. Crocheting is a fun and relaxing hobby to do. I watched a knitting video yesterday and it made me remember why, I gave up knitting. Too much yarn over this way and insert one needle this way and the other the other way. No thanks!😮 Well, maybe I'll change my mind.

Regina I know what you mean about that knitting. I usually do simple knitting projects for winter shawls and neck wraps like cowls because the stitches are pretty dense for warmth. With crochet though I want to get a little fancier. I would love to try to make lacy shawls for the warmer seasons. I just have to work harder on my concentration to follow the patterns. Here's some patterns I'm going to try hopefully this fall if I don't get too too busy.
