The move in with dad went fairly smoothly. I am still trying to find room for all of our "stuff" but am using this as a good time to get rid of all the excesses and the clutter. We are adapting to each other's habits by now. Dad did have a medical incident that ended him in the hospital for 11 days. He had a large kidney stone that lodged in his ureter. He had a large blood loss from the kidney and needed 12 units of blood. His blood levels have finally stabilized and he will be going outpatient to have his stent and the catheter removed. He is very stubborn and doesn't always like to follow the doctor's instructions. I am becoming weary of having to "nag" him to do what is right. I am so fortunate that I have an employer that is understanding and has allowed me this time to help dad recuperate. I would prefer to be able to stay home permanently again, but financially that is not an option right now. If you remember, I am supporting my daughter and her two children so that she can homeschool and learn a marketable skill. My dear husband is working far too many hours to insure that everyone is well taken care of (he is averaging 65+ hours per week!) My walk with the Lord still leaves much to be desired, but the Holy Spirit continues to reveal many things through all this. My dependence on man (including my husband) can never take the place of my dependence on God. I am so thankful that I am finally learning that lesson.
Sorry this is so long winded.....it has been almost 3 months since I have been able to post. I look forward to being able to begin to participate again....this board has become a welcome retreat from all the "world" around me....
Thank you all for that
