Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It sure feels nice to be back. I had to take a leave of absence to deal with some health issues and could not do much online.
To re-introduce my family and myself....Here goes...I am Sister Penny, wife to Jeffrey, Mom to Elizabeth, Christopher and Raechel, Step-Mom to Timothy (wife Angie), and Christopher, yes, we have 2 Christophers :-) and also Grandmom to Trent.
Jeffrey, myself, Raechel and Christopher (mine) all live here in lower Michigan, near Muskegon, on the West side of the state, we are about 5 miles from Lake Michigan, which is magnificent in the summertime, as well as winter, we were just there yesterday, with bitterly cold winds and my son, who has never been in Michigan for winter, got a taste of how quickly one can stop when sliding down a drift on ice....he stopped, after he landed flat and spun around for a few times...he was amazed at the icebergs here...we have them!
Raechel is in 9th grade and Christopher is finishing up his Diploma as well. My daughter Elizabeth is in college in Oregon and works full time and attends school full time, she is an aspiring Attorney, International Corporate law.... Timothy and Angie live about 7 miles from us, Tim works at a local factory with Jeff, and Angie is an optical technician, both attend college, Angie is also a 20 year dance teacher, from clogging to ballet, Trent is Tim's son and lives with his mother, but sees them weekly. I avoid their home, as I have this horrible adversion to the 7 foot snake they keep in a huge tank...it seems to want to be out when I am visiting...so they come here...I would rather not have a heart attack from a snake :-) Chris, (Jeff's) lives in North Muskegon and is working full time at a grocery chain as a manager, he has a nice girlfriend, who also is a manager at the same chain, different store, we anticipate their marriage soon, but no news.
Jeff and all of us enjoy fishing, hiking, strolling through our woods, and exploring the wilderness here, Jeff enjoys reloading and we also target shoot as a family, one of my hobbies from Oregon I enjoy...
My interests are mainly here, (we rarely go anywhere "out") I sew a bit, make soap( my main hobby) candlemaking, and used to do a lot of photography, I gave my daughter, Elizabeth all of my photography equipment so she could use it in a college course...of course that is when you want the camera to capture some of the spectacular sights here in the winter....
We like camping and also gardening, we have a small raised bed area which we will increase this spring to a lot more, I am one who enjoys all the herbs for cooking, soapmaking and teas.
I love to write, and enjoy hearing about other's walk in their faith..and also am a perpetual student studying Spanish :-)
It's good to be back, forgive me if I have left anything out....
God bless,
Sister Penny
