We were walking uptown as a family and enjoying the weather and a mentally challenged young man came up to us and just started talking. He inquired first about our dress and why we dress that way and he had all kinds of questions. He asked about TV and we told him we didn't have one and why we didn't and so he has decided to turn his off too.(He's had it off for a whole week!) I asked "What have you been doing all week then.. and he said.. " reading my Bible! PTL! He lives on his own goes to his own church and has a job and is a very nice young man and very smart. He asked us all kinds of good questions and he was very sincere. He wants to continue the friendship now and I am sure he will have many more questions. I don't think we would of ever met if we would of been dressed like the rest of crowd... and so another testimony of being different or separate can give you opportunities to witness.

Sweet testimony, Joy! Some people are transparent enough to ask questions and then respond to the Word of God, and mentally handicapped people seem particularly gifted this way. They are sweet. Our modest manners and dress make a difference to those who ask no questions, as well. When we approach others with the gospel, and it is evident that we are not the typical woman, they are more likely to take Jesus seriously.
