First of all I would like everyone to know that even though I may not reply personally to each prayer request posted I do honor them all. Prayer is such a wonderful and important factor in the life of a Christian.
That being said, I once again come humbly before you and The Lord seeking your prayers and His favor. Friday at 8:45 I must go in for another set of CT scans. These will be the first since my recent surgery. Then on Manday, I think it is the 19th, I will go in for the reading on the results.
Please pray the proceedure will go well and that the results will be clean and that there is nothing growing in my abdoman that ought not be there.
Thank you all. I covet your prayers.
In Christ, George

Praise God for His goodness and for watching over me. The procedures went extremely well this morning. I had no reactions to the medication at all. The tech is a new Christian Brother. We were able to pray before we started. It was such a comfort for us to stand arms around each other and pray before we started.
I go in Monday afternoon for the official reading of the results. We already know they are going to come out clean because we have placed the whole thing squarely in God's hands.
In Christ, George

Well brothers and sisters, I went to my oncologist today. I got some good news and some not so good news. My abdomen is clear. There is no cancer there. That is what I was praying for.
But...it seems I did not pray for enough as there are two more lesions or small tumors in my liver again. That is much better because last time the disease affected my liver it was 18 of them!
So now I go back on the oral chemotherapy I took for 4 years. It is thought that since I have been off it for 3months my system may allow it to work again. If not The Good Lord has provided there are at least three other alternatives including another drug that is brand new. There is also the possibility of more surgery.
All I can say is that getting old is not for sissies! But...if everything goes haywire and I die I will go to heaven! Praise God for that! It is the most wonderful thing in my life that in the over 4 years I have been dealing with this I have not once been frightened by it. The ONLY thing I can attribute that to is faith.
In Christ, George

Dear Brother George, The Lord lays you on my heart quite often and I pray for you much. May the Lord give you strength and grace to continue to do His Wil especially through this difficult time. You have touched more lives than I am sure you realize just by being an obedient servant of the Lord. God Bless you Brother, Alanel
