I feel that many Christians have gone totally to the world IIt just grieves my heart. I don't even enjoy being at church anymore. . I remember a time when I could hardly wait until Sunday. This is one of the few places that I can come and feel that everyone here is making an effort to live a holy life. I'm so grateful for this board.

I read this morning and it was a blessing to me. >A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah.> Psalm 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psalm 63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psalm 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Psalm 63:4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Psalm 63:5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:
Psalm 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
Psalm 63:7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
Psalm 63:8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. Psalm 63:9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. Psalm 63:10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. Psalm 63:11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped. Dear sister Amy, Thank you for your very encouraging post...I agree 100%.
Dear Regina, I know exactly how you feel too. Our churches are in a sad state...The Lord must be returning soon. I sure hope so, but until then we must keep our eyes on Jesus and the purpose He created us for and that is to be salt and light in this dark world. Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
Mark 9:49 For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
Mark 9:50 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Luke 14:34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
Col 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
James 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh. ( note: Now this is an interesting verse )Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Mat 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. ( note: another Interesting verse)
Mat 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Here is an interesting verse... Mat 22:5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: How many times do christians hear the word or will of God and make light of it and go their own way? I just thought this was an interesting verse.
Their are many confused lost souls out there that need the Lord and they need to hear truth. We are not to fear the face of man, we are not to fear what man might think or do. We are to obey the Lord and live our life to honor and glorify Him in all we do.
It breaks my heart to think of how the Lord must feel. His children do their will instead of the will of their father which is in Heaven. 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
