Drought

I live in the south and currently Georgia has been in a drought, two families I know have already had their wells dry up completely and had to carry in water from containers. I am asking for prayers to bring us out of the drought, and closer to God.

We had wells dry up around here too. The different Fire departments would fill up stock tanks of water so the residents could have water.
Ben said some counties would not help in this way. I guess those folks had to leave their homes or get city water if it was available in their area. How sad this has all been.
We have well and city water here where we rent, and city water at our new property where were building our house. We do want to get a deep well dug though. We have a spring bubbling up at the base of our mountain, it ran even during the drought.
We are praying for Georgia and Alabama as well.

I had no idea this was going on! I guess I am just naive, I didn't know there were places in the US that suffered droughts. I will pray for Georgia and Alabama as well. *I seem to remember something about a governor praying for rain, but I just didn't realize how severe things were

Here in Tennessee our drought is ebbing. We have been getting some rain on a fairly regular basis. I hope we get plenty enough to fill our aquifers. Praise the Lord.

Thank you all very much, generally Georgia is a humid, rainy place so we are not equipped with any programs that I know of. And to think we're Savannah River on the South Carolina border.
I think its a good idea to have a well also even though your going to be on city water. Well water taste better.
There are springs here and there is one place down the road where you can pull over and fill up your jugs, but even the swamps are drying up, so I don't know how long that will last.

Here in Montana where we live it has been somewhat dry too. The Lord does continue to provide though, not all of our whats , but our needs he does. At our place here we have hauled water for all of our needs for years. A well would be nice , but we have to go 300-500 feet or more to get good water. And it is not worth the cost for us to do that.
WE have a brother and sister that just went to Coasta Rica and right now it rains alot there. It took 4 days for washed jeans to dry.
WE need to continue to keep our eyes on the Lord and count our blessing for what He does give us each and every day.

I wanted to give an update.
My Pastor is still without water. They tried for water three times and even went to 640 st. deep in one place... The lady that comes to our church sometimes is still without water but she measured three inches last rain. Sounds like a lot but not for a dry well.
