Sister Trinity I thought I would share with you one of my favorite places to get free patterns it is: www.knittingpatterncentral.com/ They have all kinds of patterns. I am trying to catch onto knitting socks too, but something isn't clicking in this old head of mine. I mostly do prayer shawls which is my favorite and simple too! I think I could crochet with my eyes closed, but knitting doesn't come as easily for me! Hope you like that site. Blessings and Prayers! Sister Pamela

What a picture Brother Ben! Of course I had to print this off and share it with my husband. He is a hunter and has worked with our State Division of Wildlife for nearly 20 years. Living in Colorado we are quite aware of the issue of wolves. They can grow huge and have become dangerous to livestock, or even hikers, and hunters. This animal was pretty impressive. I know it had to be put down because it had become a "nuisance pest" to the ranching community. Thanks for the photo. Blessings and Prayers, Sister Pamela

Asking the Lord to send you a quiver full of children Sister Vanassa. In the Bible many ladies sought the Lord to bless them with a child or with more children Hannah and Rachel just to name a few. I can put myself in there as well. I too had problems with hormones and other things. But I prayed a lot and now have 3 wonderful sons to show for it. I wish I could've had a lot more, but I am thankful for the 3 God granted me. So...I'm praying for you dear Sister! Blessings and prayers, Sister Pamela

Sister Carmen we'll be praying for you folks as you move and re-settle to the Dallas area. If I can find any info on a good church to visit there I will let you know. I'm sure others on this site will do likewise. How long will you be in school for translators? Where will you be going after that. I have a friend that is a translating the Bible for a backwoods area of Papaua, New Guinea. Blessings and Prayers, Sister Pamela

Brother Ben this test was such a good idea to post, thank you. I have seen this before but am glad to have a copy of it. I printed it off and am going to take copies to our church family. We all think we are so bright and well educated, this sure took the wind out of my sails! I think it might stump a few others. My folks were people that had only 8th grade educations, but they were brilliant people! I only wish I will ever be as smart as my folks were! Thanks for this post. This is going to be fun to pass around. Blessings and Prayers, Sister Pamela

Sister Vanessa it was a real blessing this morning to find your dear words of encouragement to me. What a welcomed way to start my day. Thank you. I too wish we had folks like you and your family in our church. I know you will be a blessing wherever you end up serving. I'm praying for you all, thank you again for your kind words. Dear Sister Trisha I just read your intro. First let me say welcome, and then let me say I am so very sorry about your most recent experience in that IFB church. This site has so many people that share this same bad experience with you. I am the wife of a fundamental Baptist pastor, please know that there are a few of us out there that believe as you do and wish for the day when the false prophets will flee the fundamental baptist churches and go afflict else where. There behavior makes me want to call myself by another name, but then I figure it is them that needs to change! I pray everyday that the Lord will add folks like you to our church. I cover, and so far nothing has been said, but I know that it is not accepted well. But then it isn't the peoples fault they have come to us from other churches that have not taught them correctly. So maybe they will learn after a while. There are about 3 other families that believe as we do but it is hard to endure the criticisms from their families, and friends so they are slow to practice good standards. For many many years I only covered at home because before my husband surrendered to the ministry we went to a church that was like the one you described. It was a nightmare. I endured 11 yrs. of "hate preaching". I was mocked and ridiculed even from the pulpit, because I was too conservative. I was whispered about and gossiped about, I even overheard the pastors wife there tell another church lady not to pay any mind to me because I really was not a part of them. I worked my fingers to the bone for that church and that is the treatment I received! I was mentally abused by that pastor and the people of his church. I had nightmares where I would wake up screaming in terror because I would be dreaming I was being hunted down and tortured by these "good" people. So YES, I understand completely what anguish this has caused you. I know what I have said here sounds bitter, but I truly am not. I pray for that church, and wish them no ill. I have forgiven them, but every time I hear someone else go through similar things the bad memories do come rushing in and it hurts me to think of another going through it. We home churched for a while after we left that awful little log church (whited sepulcher) but our home church grew so large that we ended up renting a building. Now we have about 70 precious people that come to hear the preaching of Gods word. They are a good group of people and growing in the right direction. My husband said in his message a few weeks ago that God is not as concerned about where you are in your "walk" with him as much as he is concerned with what direction you are walking in. Keep walking with Christ. I am praying for you and your family. I hope you are able to find a good church or a home church. I apologize on behalf of all these religious morons out there that think they have all the answers. I am praying that you and the rest of the dear people on this site don't shun me because I am a fundamental baptist that does not "home church", I almost feel like "a man without a country", on the one hand I don't fit with the "average" IFB church, and on the other hand I am afraid I won't be accepted here in this sweet place either. Til Christ Comes, Blessings, Sister Pamela

We will be praying that you are able to find a good place to be worshipping the Lord. I am sorry to hear that the fundamental churches in your area are failing on the Word of God. As a pastor's wife it breaks my heart to hear of so many in the same shape that you have found yourself. I believe our church is one of the last few of the true churches. We believe that the KJV is the best bible for the English speaking people. These new translations are almost all form corrupted texts. God help our poor people. If they don't hear the real word of God how can they ever know him or have their lives changed. Praying fervently for you brother, God bless. Sister Johanna

In our family we celebrate "Spiritual Birthdays" as well as our regular birthdays. We feel the "2nd birth" is as important as the "1st birth". I accepted Christ as my Savior on May 19th, 1971 at a Billy Graham Crusade in Birmingham, Alabama. I praise the Lord that Bro. Graham was able to explain the plan of salvation in a way that my 19 year old heart could understand. I was raised in church and just assumed I was saved until that night in May. So my "Spiritual Birthday is May 19th and I turned 38 yrs. old in the Lord this past May. When is your "Spiritual Birthday"? Blessings, Sister Pam

Brother Gary, I'm not sure what part of Southeast Colorado you are in but my husband says you can find listings of local Baptist churches on several websites. You might try a search on Sword of the Lord, or Baptist Top 5,000, and there are several others. Phone books are sometimes a good place to look as well. Good luck in your search for a church home, there are plenty out there in most areas of Colorado, but not knowing what town you are located in I cannot recommend any particular church. Most are KJV if they are "fundamental", but not many are "headcovering", as it is not a very easily accepted doctrine these days. Blessings, Sister Johanna

Dear Sister Vanessa, I read with a broken heart as you described the church atmosphere in your area. What a pressing need there is for "true" Baptists. I say "true" because most Baptists these days are living lives that are an insult to the precious heritage we have been given. Listen, here is my advice such as it is, (I am an older woman (58yrs) and the Bible says it is profitable for the elder women to help guide the younger women)... I encourage you to do what you know to be right in Gods eyes. The Bible tells us that "to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17. If you know to cover, then cover, yes you will face some persecution, but God word says that when we suffer for righteousness sake we are to be happy. (I Peter 2:20 and I Peter 4:14-16). You may even be an encouragement to another Christian lady to step out and cover and live more Godly. Many Christians live "closet testimonies" so afraid of what others may say. I dress in a cape style dress and cover with a crocheted black head covering such as you might see on an Old Order Mennonite lady. I cover my legs with black knee highs and wear black lace up shoes. It would be hard for me to dress any more conservative! The "world" welcomes me, the Christians are the ones that have the biggest problem. Want to know why? I will tell you. Christians are convicted by the Holy Spirit in their own hearts when they see some other Christian living according to Gods word. The world on the other hand finds that same appearance comforting, because they want to have hope that there really is something to Christianity! When Christians do not come out from among the world and be separate (II Cor. 6:17) they fail the cause of Christ you see. Why would a lost and dying soul be interested in what "worldly" Christians have to say when they see no difference between them! But remember...your behavior must be Christ-like also. Coverings and dress standards on a Christian who is not conducting their life according to Biblical principles is as ridiculous as dressing up a pig in a satin ballgown and glass slippers. So do right, behave in a Christ like way, expect Satan to try to make you fail, and beg God for direction. It sounds like you have gotten all this settled already by your testimony, so I'm saying all this to be an encouragement. Life as a sold out Christian is never going to be easy, the life of Christ is proof of that, but the trials strengthen our faith and make us better vessels for use by our Savior. There are church finders on line if you and your husband fell you cannot remain in your present church. Please cover that in prayer, if you leave your present church there will not be a chance for change in that congregation and yet another church will become a barren wasteland. Makes me shudder to think of all those kinds of baptist churches, so, so, sad. I'm praying for you all. God bless you. Stand strong in Christ and fight the good fight. Blessings, Sister Pamela

Sister Lisa thank you for the web site of Dr. Christopher. As a student of Herbal and Natural Medicine I really appreciated having another source of reading. I am doing an eyewash at least twice daily, and have increased vitamin C and cod liver oil, B & E also. These things take time so I will keep at it and adding to the regimen as I understand how and what to do. Thanks for your prayers everyone and please keep praying. I'm a firm believer that prayer is more powerful than anything else we can do! Blessings, Sister Pamela
